Tournament Events 2011-12

October 1/2 - Nov 12/13:  40th Annual Women's State 600 Club Tournament
Every Sat/Sun for 7 weekends. 
Entry deadline is Midnight, September 20th, 2011.  No reservations by phone.
Entries available at Capitol Bowl's Reception Desk, from Tournament Secretary, or on-line.

November 20 (Sunday):  Lansing Mini-Match Game Scratch Tournament

Mini Match Games

December 3 (Saturday):  Sport Shot Tournament
Qualifying starts 1pm, Finals start 4:30pm.  Max 54 bowlers.
More details to come from Brian Regan, organizer; Entry form will be posted as soon as received.

December 4 (Sunday):  9-Pin No-Tap Tournament
3-game tournament, 5pm start.  Entries close at 4:30pm.  Practice begins at 4:50pm
$15/person - Limit 40 bowlers.  Hdcp 90% of 220.
$7.50 lineage/$7.50 prize fund - 100% returned, 1 in 8 will cash.

December 10 (Saturday):  "700" Club Mixed Doubles Tournament
7pm start.  Entries close Sat, 12/10, 6pm.  $32/team.
Hdcp 90% difference from 440 combined team average!
Open to any "700 club member" and any sanction bowler of the opposite sex.
If you want to bowl, but don't have a partner - we'll find one for you!

January 8 (Sunday):  2nd Annual Lila Jean Furnish Classic
Owosso High School invites Michigan High School Teams to this competition
10am start.  Coaches click Lila Jean Entry form to get your team(s) signed up!
Format is 12 Baker games, then top 4 teams of girls & boys compete in two
more 2-baker game rounds to settle places 1-2-3-4.

   Note - this event rescheduled from 12/10/11 (Sat) due to multiple HS events

January 21/22/28/29:  OBA Men's City Tournament
Team Event at Capitol Bowl.   Sat shifts 1p-4p & 6p-9p; Sun shifts 1p-4p
This year's honoree is TBA


February 4 (Saturday):  Local Area Women 600 Club Tournament
Bowling starts at 3pm

February 4 & 5 (Sat & Sun):  OBA Valentine Mixed Tournament
Sat squad starts bowling at 7pm; Sun squad starts bowling at 1pm.

February 11 (Sat):  CAAC BAKER CHAMPIONSHIPS TOURNAMENT
High School Varsity Event - Boys & Girls Teams from CAAC participate
12pm start time.

February 18 (Saturday):  Michigan Short Track Racing Club
Bowling starts at 4p (finish 8p).  Registration open at least one hour before.

7th Annual William & Kay Scarlett Family Memorial Scholarship Tournament
2/18 - 8pm start (following MSTRC event above)
3/3 & 3/10 - 7pm start  (12 lane limit on 3/10)

February 24 & 25 (Fri & Sat):  CAAC Regionals - OHS Division
High School Varsity Event - Boys & Girls Teams from CAAC participate, 8am-6pm
2 shifts---boys & girls squads/team event Fri & singles event Sat
We're proud to be hosting this event in Owosso for the first time ever!!!

March 3 through 10:  OBA Women's City Tournament
Entries available at Capitol Bowl's Reception Desk.
Singles & Doubles Events at Capitol Bowl.

TBA (Sunday):  Thomas J. Trecha, Sr. Memorial Tournament
12pm start.  Entry form will be posted soon.

May 5th:  Special Olympics Tournament 
Bowling begins 11am, finish by 1:30pm.  Come on down and watch some very determined
special folks from the mid-Michigan area compete!
